About Newcastle Physio

A straightforward front door to physiotherapy: honest information about the treatments, and a short path from "something hurts" to an assessment with a registered physiotherapist.

How we talk about treatment

Health advertising is full of promises nobody can honestly make. We keep to what physiotherapy can honestly say: what each treatment involves, what it is commonly used for, and that what suits you is decided at an assessment, not by a website. Physiotherapist is a protected title, and appointments arranged through this site are with registered practitioners.

What happens when you enquire

You describe the problem in your own words: no medical language needed. We come back to arrange an appointment time. At the assessment, the physiotherapist examines the problem properly, explains what is going on in plain words, and builds a plan with you: usually some combination of hands-on treatment, a structured exercise program and practical advice.

Costs and cover

Physiotherapy can attract private health extras cover, and GP-managed Medicare chronic disease management plans apply to some situations. What your cover pays depends on your policy and circumstances: raise it when booking and confirm details with your provider.
